THE JUNIOR ACADEMY at Lakeside Lodge is strong and very active. A Merit Award Scheme helps to show who the improvers are and also supports a little friendly competition between the members of the Academy. Here at Lakeside Lodge our Golf Centre has just been approved as an official Golf Foundation Starter Centre (one of only two in Cambridgeshire). This means that we are entitled to extra funding and support from the Golf Foundation and we'll be running special Merit Award Schemes for juniors in the Junior Academy.
For the first time, the YOUNG MASTER GOLF programme is available at Lakeside Lodge, This is a fun and exciting opportunity for all young people to start playing golf and progress to a level where they can complete with other youngsters, or simply enjoy playing a healthy and relaxing sport. Hosted by ANDY FLETCHER and SCOTT WATERMAN, this unique new programme is for BOYS and GIRLS aged from 6 to 16 years. Club Membership isn't necessary and all equipment is provided, although juniors are more than welcome to bring their own clubs. Eight weekly one-hour sessions is £69.95 and will give a thorough introduction to all aspects of the game. Simply 'phone the Golf Shop on 01487 741541 to book your place. Juniors will now be able to record their achievements as they progress through the schemes.
